Triton Athletic Team Award
In celebration of its historic athletic past, Iowa Central Community College is proud to offer the Triton Athletic Team Award. Its purpose is to honor significant contributions of a former Triton Athletic Team which meets the criteria listed below. One team award will be granted annually.
Criteria
- A team shall be eligible for nomination seven full seasons following the completion of the season for which they have been nominated
- Must have distinguished themselves on the playing field (i.e. outstanding win-loss record, league championship, NJCAA tournament participation).
- Teams should have brought prestige to Iowa Central in and out of the athletic area.
There are no restrictions on who may nominate someone. However, those nominating someone MUST be identified and secure the permission of the nominee. The nominator must also secure two additional letters of recommendations to be submitted to the Executive Director of Development and Alumni Relations.
Class Size
The inaugural class will feature one team award and each subsequent class will have one team award granted annually.
Ceremony
Inductees will be honored at the Hall of Fame Ceremony and Banquet. The induction ceremony will be held on Saturday, November 9th, 2024.
